Baby Carriers
Mei Tai Style Baby Carriers are based on a traditional soft chinese baby carrier with a simple design consisting of a square of fabric with four straps. Two of the straps go over the shoulders distributing the weight of the baby across the back; and the two straps tie around the waist. It can be used on the front, back or hip.
Pouches are a loop of fabric with a curved seam in the seat creating a deep pocket for baby. They are easy to put on and take off and are ideal for newborns who like to be in more of a laying position.
Wraparounds are one long piece of cloth of around 2.5 metres that wraps snugly around the baby. The wrap goes over both shoulders and around the waist and spreads the baby's weight to the wearer's hips, shoulders and back. There are many different ways to tie wraparounds, so baby can be at the front, back, hip or nursing.
